it's Orelhinha

Orelhinha is not a hero. Nor is he a villain. Sometimes he's brave, sometimes he's terrified. And, yes... he can be all of that at once. Some people think he's a bit of an asshole. Others say he's bland. Some like him precisely because he's sweet, a bit naive, a bit distracted. And that's okay. Orelhinha isn't trying to gain likes, labels, trophies, or applause. He doesn't deny what people say about him. He simply lives. He acts, makes mistakes, tries to understand, observes, and deals with what life puts in his path. So, reader, don't expect anything more than that. Don't create outlandish expectations. This story doesn't promise superpowers. But whether you're rich or poor, Indian, American, Chinese—or just yourself—Orelhinha will enjoy learning about your reasons, your desires, and your knowledge. He will listen to everything. And he will choose only what makes sense to him, without trying to prevent you from choosing what makes sense for your life. Because choosing is important. But it's not always possible to choose everything. Sometimes, all you can do is accept, take a deep breath, and do the best you can with what you have. And that, surprisingly, is already a lot.

It's Medoca

Medoca

As the name suggests, Medoca is afraid. Afraid of almost everything.

It could be a cockroach, the rain, a strange noise… or even a tiny ant that seems to be staring too much.

On their face, drops of sweat appear uninvited. And, if you have a very attentive ear, you might hear a discreet tick-tock, tick-tock: it's Medoca's teeth chattering, trying to decide whether to run away, hide, or find courage.

Medoca is not weak or foolish. They just feel everything very quickly.

And, sometimes, that's exactly where the greatest courage is born.

is 7 - Emotions Traffic Light

Now, think of a traffic light. Yes, a literal traffic light. But one that pretends to be human. It truly believes it came into the world to organize emotional traffic. No cars, honking, or lane markings. Its job is different. It manages the timing of things: the right time to fulfill desires, the anger that wants to explode, the loves that accelerate too fast, and the heartbreaks that need to brake. Some people use the Traffic Light as a friend, trust it, and ask it before acting. Others detest it, find it annoying, bossy… but, deep down, they admit: it’s useful. The Curatorship accepted the Traffic Light even though it’s not exactly “human.” After all, it has legs, arms, and very expressive eyes — green, yellow, and red. And sometimes, just by looking at it, you can tell if it’s better to go, wait, or stop for a bit.

It's ticklish

Cosquinha is a golden dog of the Golden Retriever breed, with curious eyes and a giant heart. He belongs to the Orelhinha universe and is, at the same time, a faithful companion, a silent confidant, and an emotional mirror for children.

Cosquinha dreams of being human. Not to stop being a dog, but to better understand human feelings: why people hide what they feel, say "it's okay" when it's not, or fight when, in reality, they just need a hug. This desire makes him especially attentive to gestures, silences, and changes in mood.

Affectionate by nature, Cosquinha communicates more through his body than through words. A tail that wags slowly, a snout that gently nudges, a timely lie down beside you. He teaches that listening is not just hearing, it's being present. When Orelhinha is confused inside, Cosquinha is the first to notice.

In Orelhinha Park, Cosquinha represents:

  • empathy without judgment

  • unconditional acceptance

  • emotional intelligence born from affection

He doesn't solve problems, he doesn't give long lectures. Cosquinha simply stays. And, by staying, he helps everything to organize itself within.

Mommy and Daddy

Mami

Mami is Orelhinha's mother. Affectionate, attentive, and deeply present, she believes that educating begins by listening to what the child feels, before correcting what they do. Her voice is gentle yet firm; her gaze embraces without invading. Mami helps Orelhinha to name emotions, to understand that feeling anger, fear, or sadness is not wrong — what's wrong is not knowing what to do with those feelings.

She teaches with questions, not sermons. When something goes wrong, Mami doesn't react hastily: she breathes, observes, and guides. She represents emotional education through connection, showing that emotional security is the foundation for healthy development.

Mami symbolizes:

  • active listening
  • emotional embracing
  • authority that cares, not imposes

Papi

Papi is Orelhinha's father. Calm, observant, and consistent, he shows that educating also means setting boundaries with respect. Papi helps Orelhinha transform emotions into responsible attitudes, explaining the consequences of choices and encouraging emotional autonomy.

He doesn't minimize feelings, but helps organize them. When Orelhinha is confused or agitated, Papi is the one who brings clarity: he helps separate what is emotion from what is action. His presence conveys confidence and stability.

Papi symbolizes:

  • the balance between affection and limits
  • emotional responsibility
  • the silent example that educates

Mami and Papi together

As protagonists of various stories, Mami and Papi form a couple who educate by daily example. They show that emotional education is not about perfection, but consistency, dialogue, and repair. They make mistakes, talk, adjust, and move forward together.

In Orelhinha's world, Mami and Papi represent the adult a child needs:
someone who cares, guides, and believes that every emotion can be understood and transformed.
